The Goals:


The primary goal of the local media relations campaign with Water Mission was to

  • Highlight GF Building Flow Solutions (Uponor) as a key sponsor of the 2024 Walk for Water in September 2024. 
  • GreenHouse Digital + PR aimed to boost community engagement and event participation while highlighting GF Building Flow Solution’s continued dedication to community relations and sustainability.

The Tactics:


The team adopted a grassroots approach, focusing on traditional media relations in the Twin Cities area to promote the event.

We employed a multi-pronged approach: 

  • The team focused on securing the Walk for Water in local calendar listings to increase visibility.
  • Reaching out to key journalists in the area about the event.

The Results:


In total, the team secured ten major organic placements for the 2024 Twin Cities Walk for Water, including television and radio interviews for the Water Mission team.

These opportunities not only increased visibility for the Walk for Water event but also strengthened the partnership between Water Mission and GF Building Flow Solutions.

The event promotion resulted in 511 total walkers.
